Bannerlord directional shield blocking. Directional shield blocking and shield bash these two features revitalize the sword board gameplay making it a more engaging experience than ever before. Also the chance of it hitting in such a small window would be very hard. Blocking in the wrong direction will not necessarily get you killed but it will cause your shield to break faster leaving you defenseless against missiles and vulnerable against multiple foes. They made some neat changes like the directional guard for shields and fists and the shield bash is pretty but crap i will still 100 get the game and enjoy it but as it is now warband is better for combat.
A high damage hit would be extremely hard to achieve due to small window if hits. The directional shield blocks were good to work with. No as the defender would have the option to block upwards by holding right click and moving mouse upwards using the shield directional blocking of bannerlord which was not used in warband. Getting the direction has some dampening and makes openings for blocking.
Shield bashing a highly requested feature temporarily stuns your opponent and knocks them back lowering their defenses and giving you room to breathe. I like the idea that it both gives incentive to use your shield more actively and disincentives just keeping it up.
